Harry Kane Is England’s All-Time Record Goalscorer

During the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Harry Kane’s two goals brought him level with Wayne Rooney’s all-time scoring record as England advanced to the quarter-finals, only to be knocked out by France following his missed penalty in a 2-1 loss. On March 23, 2023, Kane sealed England’s 2-1 win over reigning European champions Italy in a UEFA EURO 2024 qualifier by scoring a crucial penalty, marking England’s first away victory over Italy since 1961. With this 54th international goal, Kane surpassed Rooney’s record, cementing himself as England’s all-time leading goalscorer.

Harry Kane is now the record goal scorer for both club and country. Despite being a goal machine and scoring more than 20 goals a season for the past 9 seasons, the 29-year-old striker has not won a major trophy with either Tottenham Hotspur or England.
